Common Restorative Services
[/plethora_headinggroup][vc_column_text]Restorative dental services often require highly individualized treatment. The goal of these services is to optimize the health of the entire mouth, including the teeth, the gums, and the bite. This can include any of the following restorative services or a combination of services:[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_tta_tabs active_section=”1″ pagination_style=”outline-round” pagination_color=”peacoc” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_tta_section title=”Dental Fillings” tab_id=”1587678187234-8e823912-2aa7″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Our dentists will examine the teeth of both kids and adults during regular office visits for tooth decay. If tooth decay or cavities are present, our dental care team will typically recommend a filling. A dental filling seals off any portions of the tooth that could be susceptible to further decay.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Composite Vs. Amalgam Fillings” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]Composite Fillings are made from synthetic composite resin (plastic material) that is designed to replace tooth structure, damaged by cavities or trauma. There are many advantages to choosing a composite filling over a metal filling. A composite filling is bonded/cured to the walls of the tooth. It is a fast, discreet way to receive tooth repair as the fillings are designed to stay the same color as your teeth.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][plethora_fixedmedia image=”50466″][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner][plethora_button button_text=”Contact Stillwater Dental” button_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fstillwaterdentalbend.com%2Fcontact%2F|title:Contact%20Us|target:%20_blank|” button_size=”btn-lg” button_style=”btn-warning” button_align=”text-center” button_with_icon=”0″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Dental Crown” tab_id=”1587679236589-14d5f64f-10de”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]A dental crown is a cap that is cemented into place to completely cover the tooth. They protect, reinstate form, size, strength, and appearance of a tooth.
There are many types of crowns made from materials such as stainless steel, metals, porcelain fused to metal, all resin, zirconia, or all ceramic. There are different benefits to each of the materials and our Stillwater Dental team will help you decide what material is right for you.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Consider a Dental Crow If” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]
- You need to add strength to a weak tooth
- You need to fix a broken or cracked tooth

After the root is installed and it fuses to the jawbone, the root can be used to anchor an artificial tooth. Once the artificial root is infused, which may take several months, the root can be used to hold a dental crown, a dental bridge, or a denture.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Dental Implant Procedure” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]
A local anesthetic will be administered to numb the area where the implants will be inserted. You will be awake during the surgery but should feel little to no discomfort. The implant will require small incisions to your gums, but recovery should only last about 7 days. It generally takes between 3 and 6 months for the titanium rod to fully fuse to the jawbone. Once the healing process is completed, dental implants basically give you a brand-new tooth root and tooth—only they’re even more durable than regular teeth.

They are a restorative service that replaces missing teeth by leveraging the remaining gum structure and teeth adjacent to the gap, to fill in missing teeth. These durable and sturdy replacements are most useful for areas of the mouth that are not immediately seen by others.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Dental Bridge Procedure” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]You should expect a dental bridge placement to take place over two appointments. At the first appointment, healthy teeth will be shaped to ensure that the crowns (also called abutments) used to hold the bridge in place will fit. During the second appointment, the permanent crowns and bridge will be set. It is very common for some adjustments to be needed. Once all necessary adjustments are made, the permanent bridge is set in place and adhered to the teeth.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][plethora_fixedmedia media_type=”video” video=”https://youtu.be/_PKBIpxVCvs”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][plethora_button button_text=”Contact Stillwater Dental” button_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fstillwaterdentalbend.com%2Fcontact%2F|title:Contact%20Us||” button_size=”btn-lg” button_style=”btn-warning” button_align=”text-center” button_with_icon=”0″][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Dentures” tab_id=”1587679312804-197a16aa-2a5d”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth or restore your entire smile. The purpose of dentures is to replace teeth that have become loose or lost due to bone loss. The two main types of dentures are full dentures and partial dentures.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Types of Dentures Include” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]
- Conventional dentures are fully removable appliances that are placed in your mouth after damaged teeth are removed and oral tissue has healed.
- Immediate Dentures once qualified, are a removable denture that is inserted on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. After your tissue has healed, your dentures may need to be realigned/remade.
- Overdentures will fit over top your remaining natural teeth.
- Partial Dentures are removable dentures that replace missing teeth. The remaining, natural teeth will not be removed. Not all patients will qualify for partial dentures.

This is done by removing the nerve and infected pulp. Once the decay has been removed, the tooth is repaired and heals. It is important to treat this in a timely manner to avoid bigger health issues.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”No Need to Fear Root Canals” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]The length of the treatment depends on the tooth but usually will take no longer than 90 minutes. Having root canal treatment sounds scary but it is not as painful as it sounds. The pain experienced before the procedure from the infected tooth is often described as the most painful part of the entire process. Most of the time any sensitivity that develops from the treatment will go away within a few days.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][plethora_fixedmedia image=”50468″][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][plethora_button button_text=”Contact Stillwater Dental” button_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fstillwaterdentalbend.com%2Fcontact%2F|title:Contact%20Us||” button_size=”btn-lg” button_style=”btn-warning” button_align=”text-center” button_with_icon=”0″][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row color_set=”secondary_section” full_width=”0″ full_height=”0″ row_padding=”no_padding” sep_bottom=”separator_bottom sep_angled_negative_bottom” particles=”0″][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”64px”][vc_single_image image=”511″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][vc_column][plethora_headinggroup]
